When Dell finds himself attacked by alien shape shifters, befriended by giant, telepathic crows and talking to a stranger who creates force fields, Dell discovers that his grandfather's medallion is a key to Awen, a planet at the center of several galaxies. And Awen is sentient. Awen tells him she is dying - mutilated by a group of criminals out to steal the minerals lying under the planet's crust. The ailing planet bestows Dell with the power to control Her Air, Fire, Water and Soil to rescue Her from certain destruction. But even with the aid of the telepathic planet and a fast-talking squirrel, Dell may not be able to save himself, much less Awen.

I opened the door to the sex shop and found my mother standing in front of the display case talking to a tall salesman wearing a leather harness, jock strap and a dog collar. The first thought was, “Oh, crap!” The second was, “I hate it when Dad’s right.” Watching my mother investigate the testicle torture devices, cock rings and nipple clamps was not even close to being on the weekend’s itinerary. It was so far removed from my itinerary, it was in a separate zip code.
This New York trip was supposed to be a celebration of my thirty-fifth birthday, it was supposed to be an opportunity for me to have one last grand hurrah before the fall semester kicked in and buried me under the pressure of literature reviews, critical analysis papers and thesis research. I envisioned this weekend to be a fun filled romp around the Big Apple, not a safari through Leather Wonderland with my mother.
Loved the humor, but also the insightful analysis of a family, and the relationships... I found that I could not help but examine my parental relations. Knowing both the writer and his mom, made this book even more enjoyable, but I believe anyone will get the same understanding and insight . It is a light read, and a quick, but thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the time. Left me thinking about life and what is important.
Loved it! David did a great job of creating entertaining prose and heartwarming laughter. The honesty and frankness I'd his conversations with Penny are wonderful. Everyone needs a Mom like Penny.

The Guild of Immortal Women are a powerful band of Immortal Witches who guard a mystical Tapestry. The Tapestry functions not only as a depository for the Immortals fondest memories, allowing them to take respite within their past, but it is also a prison for Immortals who defy the rules. The magics holding the barrier between the dimensions has been deteriorating ever since. The Guild must now race against time to restore the Tapestry before time and space bleed into each other. But Robert and his men have their own plan; for them, the reign of Women is over.

"This is a great read. This is a well written and humorous book. It has all you could want in this genre, murder mayhem and intrigue. The plot well thought out and constructed as were the characters, with little misdirection hints that threw you off the scent of the total plot, which I loved. The book ended in such a way as to leave room for a sequel and I hope that David delivers!"
David is currently working on the screenplay for WOMEN.
San Francisco, 2005: A drunk driver takes the lives of twostrangers: Dane and Victoria.
They don't stay dead. San Francisco, 2006: Dane suffers from chronic insomnia, relieved by short bursts of fitful sleep, filled with bloody dreams of a red headed woman who he has never met. He barely remembers the night he died, much less any specific detail of the accident. Victoria suffers no such ailment. She, unlike Dane, remembers quite clearly what happened to them after they died that fateful night. She remembers what happened to them long before that night; spanning back through the years to the past lives they have shared. She remembers everything. Their destinies collide when mystic and friend Mrs. Jeremy leads Dane on a quest to discover what happened to him and Victoria after they died one year ago. Now Dane must race against time to prevent the mysterious Victoria from killing his life partner, Jake, whose actions in his past lives come back to haunt him. This metaphysical suspense targets the GLBT audience primarily, as well as any reader who enjoys a plot centered around the pros and cons of karma.
Angakok – 4 stars This is not my normal genre to read so I was interested in getting right into it. This book has it all; PTSD, murder, intrigue, mystery, intuition, paranormal, body snatchers and action. There are a lot of things to follow in the story and it can be a little confusing at times, but just keep reading and pay attention because you will catch on.
3 stars - Angakok is a big mystery, with action aplenty and a whole lot to keep the reader busy. This book does not lack in suspense, surprise and a little humour. Another great read by David Alan Morrison.
